In this ritual pose, Ptolemy XII is shown as a colossal figure, seizing his enemies by the hair before killing them. He represents the gods to mankind by defeating enemies and controlling the powers of chaos which might otherwise threaten the temple. Images of the pharaoh inside the temple would be depicted on a much smaller scale.

Beside the colossal figure of the pharaoh we see two up stretched arms, which represent "ka" and may mean embrace or praise, prayer or self-defense. The term "ka" is translated as soul or spirit. It was the aspect of a human being which came into being when he was born. However, the "ka" lived on after the individual died. The two lower arms signify embrace and may indicate the special relationship between the king and a god.

Al lado de la colosal figura del faraón vemos a dos brazos estirados que representan el "ka" y pueden significar abrazo o alabanza, oración o autodefensa. El término "ka" se traduce como alma o espíritu. Era el aspecto de un ser humano que vino a ser cuando él nació. Sin embargo, el "ka" vive después de la muerte del individuo. Los dos brazos mas abajo significan el abrazo y pueden indicar la relación especial entre el rey y un dios.
