Although there were still many places to visit in Cairo, it was time to head south. This we did by taking the greatly recommended overnight sleeper train to Aswan. Although the train was as advertised, we soon discovered that it is almost impossible to really sleep. So we did not arrive refreshed and ready to go in Aswan.
