I am not an expert on Egypt. None of the information on the site is a result of anything but basic research and observation. I have no responsibility for off-site links but hope that some of these prove to be useful. Amazingly enough the history of Egypt is not written in stone - scholars still debate when pharaohs reigned and who followed whom. This was made very clear one day as I stood before an enormous stone statue labeled "Unknown Pharaoh." It also goes a long way toward explaining why pharaohs such as Rameses II went to such lengths to ensure that he would not be forgotten.

My thanks to those who have helped with this project. Although it is in its initial stage, I hope that it will grow and be of some use to teachers and others.
